The Guelph Compassion Centre and Research Institute (GCCRI) was founded in 2009.

The GCCRI was created to fill the gap between Health Canada's Designated Grower program and the lack of proffessional designated growers that exist. The GCCRI believes that through controlled production of cannabis, research into the medical benefits of particular strains and their correlation to particular ailments can be conducted. The GCCRI is a member of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce.

The GCCRI has begun its research. Information will begin to be updated on this web site more often. We hope that research into numerous strains will help patients identify the strains that work best for their particular ailments.
